Dan Gonzalez started Tahoe Wines in 2017.  A culmination of his passion for skiing and wine.  While working in the restaurant industry, in Lake Tahoe, Dan sparked an interest in wine.

 

  "I loved the restaurant industry!  I could ski all day and work at night.  In the beginning, I began to learn about wines simply to be more knowledgeable about the wines I was working with. I had no idea that it would become a passion and career." -Dan

 

In 2014 Dan passed the Certified Sommelier Exam with the Court of Master Sommeliers.   Continuing his pursuit of knowledge Dan worked as a Sommelier, curating wine lists for restaurants and retail wine stores. Tasting thousands of wines annually in search of hidden gems. Through this search Dan developed close relationships with wine wholesalers, giving Tahoe Wines access to artisanal wines from all over the world.

The idea for Tahoe Wines was born! Dan skis and searches for great wines all over the world, while based out of Tahoe City, California.
